Please Vote – Franklin Trace Solar Policy Amendment

September 6th, 2018 Leave a comment Go to comments

Dear Franklin Trace Homeowners,

You all recently received a package in the mail asking for your vote on how Solar should be handled in Franklin Trace.

It’s extremely important that we reach resolution on this issue. We need to establish clear guidelines for the community and eliminate the current ambiguity. Please review the packet and vote for the option that you prefer. Fewer than 50% have responded so far.

To recap, 3 options are being presented. Please refer to the document for full details, this is a summary only:

  1. Allow only solar shingles. Solar panels will not be permitted.
  2. Allow only solar shingles on front roofs, and allow solar panels (or solar shingles) on non-street facing roofs.
  3. Allow solar panels on front roofs and non-street facing roofs.

To answer one question that was asked by a homeowner: This amendment DOES NOT REQUIRE homeowners to adopt solar. This amendment is to establish clear guidelines for solar, should a homeowner elect to install solar at their residence.

If you have any questions or need to have the packet resent to you, please contact us using the contact form at http://franklintrace.com/contact/
