Trial Recycling Bins, Lighting

January 26th, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

Recycling Bins: Republic Recycling has dropped off new recycling containers in several neighborhoods around Franklin Township without the residents requesting them. The city has allowed Republic to drop them off for a “trial period”.  They are hoping that homeowners will see how easy it is the recycle, and then when the trial period is up, they will pay the extra fee for the recycling.  If at that time residents do not want to pay the extra fee, the bins will be picked up.

Lighting: Several residents have complained about the lack of lighting in Franklin Trace.  Nearly half of the yard lamps and one of the street lamp were not functioning properly.  IPL has been contacted to repair the street lamp.

In the interest of pedestrian safety and neighborhood security, please make sure that your lamps are function properly, as specified in the declaration of restrictions section 3E:

Individual Yard Lights Required on Each Lot. At the time that the owner of the lot in the Development completes the construction of a home on his or her lot, he or she shall install or cause to have installed a dusk-to-dawn yard light in the front yard of his lot.

If you notice any street lamps that are not functioning, please report them using the contact form on the website or by calling Kirkpatrick Management.
