Franklin Trace Crime Alert

September 25th, 2008 Leave a comment Go to comments

There have been two (update: now the number is THREE) reported break-ins in our neighborhood in the past few days.  If you’ve also been affected, please e-mail Wendy Harlow at weh [dot] other@sbcglobal [dot] net.  We’ll share information via e-mail about how the break-ins occurred and what we all can do to prevent future break-ins.

Please pass this information along to your neighbors – only about 25% of our neighborhood is on our e-mail distribution list.

IMPD provides a neighborhood watch program.  Here’s a link to some more details:  http://www.indygov.org/eGov/IMPD/Involved/Watch/watch.htm

Should we have a neighborhood watch program for Franklin Trace?  Please post your comments here!

I believe two of the break-ins were locked vehicles that were parked outside of houses. For the home intrusion, they broke-out a basement window; it was about 5am and occurred while the owners were at home. Luckily, their alarm sounded and the criminals fled.
